Pointless sequel to a good film, The Return of Jafar just doesn't cut it as a sequel, and is a total mess of a film. I hated this film, thought it was pointless, poorly crafted and it had an uninteresting plot. After a while, you simply lost interest in the film, and just didn't care for the characters. Now, I liked the original, it was no classic, but for what it was it was a fun, animated family film that the entire family could enjoy. Return of Jafar is a snore fest and it's a film that is poorly done. This was one of the first film that started showing the decline of quality animated films released by Disney (in my opinion). The quality ration for this film goes from mediocre to awful, there's never anything on-screen that can salvage this garbage, which is a shame because Disney has a long history of creating memorable, classic family films. Oh well, at least they released more classic films than garbage like this (that is easily forgettable). The Return of Jafar is awful, and if you're a fan of the first, and haven't seen this one, don't. You'll be glad you saved your time. The Return of Jafar is a poorly crafted film that was simply created in order to cash in on the success of the first film. Unfortunately Disney didn't care for the quality of this film because there's nothing good or entertaining going on on-screen. What we do get is a tired, awful, unimpressive film that simply disappoints. This is one awful straight to video sequel worth not seeing!

A mediocre sequel to a great Disney movie. This movie isn't as bad as some sequels, but it's not that good either.

Return of Jafar has exactly what a sequel to Aladdin should have: more Jafar. Even an enslaved sentence as a Genie can stop him from reeking havoc on Aladdin and his happy life. While this doesn't have Robin William's amazing voice talent, it does have a lot of other good things. For straight-to-video sequels, this is actually really decent and won't disappoint fans.

They should have made only one movie of Aladdin instead of this crappy movie that makes no sense. I hate that they change the voice of Genie. This movie is only for kids.

Aladdin is adjusting to his new life as part of the upper crust. He and Princess Jasmine may not be married yet, but the pressures of palace society have already begun. On top of that, Iago (the parrot pet of Sultan's ex-vizir turned genie, Jafar) appears asking for help and no one is happy to see him. But things begin to look up when Genie returns from his trip around the world. Meanwhile, Jafar's black lamp is discovered by an idiot crook called Abis Mal. By using Abis Mal, Jafar makes his way back to Agrabah with ideas of payback for Aladdin and his friends.

The first one was better. This wasn't that bad. But could have been better.

Part of the Disney money making machine that re-writes and makes up sequels to classic literature to make a quick buck at the expense of your children's imagination and education! Stop it!

oh how disney has fallen. Why is it that any hand drawn film these days seems to be a direct to video sequel?

Another unnecessary Disney sequel that was quickly produced for the sake of a few extra dollars. Uninspired story, boring characters.

Ok, how does ¨Beauty & the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas¨ have a 00% but yet this movie has a 30%? Can someone please answer that for me?

This movie is the worst Disney sequel ever made in every way. The animation wreaks for a Disney movie, the voice acting is stale, the songs are forgettable (& terribly written), the plot sucks, & the characters changed.

This movie is so bad my brain just hurts thinking of how bad it is. ¨King of Theives¨ & ¨Atlantis 2¨ are way better compared to this. The ONLY reason I was able to sit through this movie was because of Iago.

Everything about Aladdin 2 feels off, from the voice cast to the animation style to the 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Perhaps it's wrong to hold this made for video sequel up to the original, but there simply isn't any other way to look at movies in a franchise. There's really no reason to watch this extension of the first movie; nothing of major importance or interest happens here. For completists only.

A decently good story idea, but the garish animation and horrid voice contribution especially replacing Williams as the genie caused this inferior flick to be the start of a new era for the Disney corporation. That is making trashy video collectibles for a quick buck that belong in the trash heap.
