Disagreed. All of the Star Wars movies are great (although Episodes I and II had huge shortcomings), but if I had to rank them, The Empire Strikes Back would be third, behind A New Hope And Return of the Jedi.

The reason why the Return of the Jedi is not as good as its predecessors is because Empire ended with so many cliffhangers. Lucas knew this one had to conclude everything, like saving Han and a final confrontation with Vader. He did this well, but the cliffhangers restricted him from having enough freedom to make it very cinematic and exciting.
