Sequel Rumor Round-Up: Duchovny Talks "X-Files 2," Boyle Suggests "28 Months Later"?
by Jeff Giles | March 29, 2007
Blog Article | Discuss Article
Summary

David Duchovny's doing some sequel talk. Nope, this isn't about the long hoped-for second installments in the "Return to Me" and "Trust the Man" sagas; rather, as IGN Movies reports (via IESB.net), Duchovny is saying he and Gillian Anderson are wrapping up negotiations to reprise their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in a sequel to 1998's "X-Files: Fight the Future." Hmm... both bits of news sound great! If they do follow through with an X-Files sequel, Scully had better see something supernatural and believe it or the series will die forever. As for 28 Months Later, that could be interesting if they moved it to a new location. I loved 28 Days Later, and if the formula stays the same, I'm sure 28 Weeks Later will be great too. But England as a location will start to get stale soon.

i haven't watched the x-files since the series end
but didn't Scully start believing stuff at the end?

and i'm not too excited. the first movie was kind of lame anyway.

I can't wait for 28 Decades Later when lunar colonies are affected by the virus.

Funny how Duchovny doesn't hate the X-Files anymore, now that he needs a job.

And '28 Days Later' does not need a sequel. That movie sucked enough for two. Nothing but a complete rip-off of every single zombie movie that came before it. And, by the way kids, they didn't invent fast zombies. Return of the Living Dead had them first.

Really, what zombie isn't a ripoff of a prior zombie movie?

Here's the plot: A bunch of zombies are multiplying by infecting people. A group of heroes run, band together, then take a stand. One by one the heroes die off or turn to zombies.

Know which movie that is? ALL OF THEM!
