Rhythm on the River (1940)
Bing Crosby and Mary Martin combine their talents as songwriters for a big-time composer (Basil Rathbone) who can't come up with his own stuff. When the tune-typin' duo decide to make it on their own (without Rathbone) they run into difficulties with music-industry politics. The story was co-written by Billy Wilder.
