So, Riddick I may watch in a few months if I'm really bored, and in the ood to steal a movie on the internet, but in theatres? Nah. The Future looks really interesting though, and I'm sucker for anything with Johnny Cash. The man was God.

Glad to see you enjoy Cash. But he sucks. Not a fan of his music. Also, did you watch MoS in theaters?

Riddick seems way too much like some of the later Alien movies to be original. No more than a DVD rental for me.

Been looking forward to this movie, but it seems like Riddick may have been taken out of the oven (or possibly the Hollywood microwave) too early. It's a mildly disappointing score, but at least it's serviceable.

Ummmm, Pitch Black has a 57%....What did you expect? A 90?

Well, seeing as I proclaimed the 59% "mildly disappointing", I cannot see how you would presume I would expect a 90%. Regardless of what score I have anticipated for Riddick, the score of a film released thirteen years prior has little bearing on the fact that any sequel to a film can triumph over its predecessors. A score of 59% for Riddick only shows there was little growth in the franchise, growth which can come from any franchise, and that fault lies with those involved with it.

I'd see Riddick. Hopefully dialogue will be as spare as Pitch Black. Vin is such a better actor when he's not drooling through his lines.

Weak week for limited releases. Hell Baby looks as good as anything (not a good sign). I want to see Salinger, but not as badly as I want to read his five new stories. I'm a little less excited for the doc seeing that it was directed by the writer of the Alien vs Predator movies. True story. Both of them. Yes, the sequel too.

I like how critics act like Winnie Mandela is so much worse than The Butler. They serve the save function - keep your mind off of why nobody is actually making a real Nelson Mandela movie. He was kinda a big deal, you know. Worthy, even, of some kind of dramatic re-enactment of a fascinating life tale. Just thinking out loud here.

There is a Nelson Mandela movie coming out later this fall, via the Weinsteins. "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom" will premiered at the Toronto Film Festival later this month (Ironically enough, Winnie Mandela was shown at the Festival to booing crowds two years ago!), and will be released on Black Friday in the U. S.!!! Better luck with that one!!!

Dialogue was not spare enough, and a lot of it was pretty bad. This movie is far cornier than it's predecessors, and while some of it is fun other parts are just lame.
