It moves in such a doggedly straight line towards its inevitable conclusion that they might as well have a clock in the corner of the screen counting down to the Big Rise.
Yeah Charlie here is a walking contradiction: "with an open ending that?s obviously incredibly bold in this world of quick thrills and instant gratification" would seem to go against the "inevitable conclusion" don't you think?
the rise has to occur at the end. Otherwise it will be treating on "planet of the apes" territory. And that would take away to point of this being a prequel.
It IS called RISE of the Planet of the Apes, after all. To the movie's credit, though, I had to keep reminding myself of that fact, especially during the showdown on the bridge when I thought all hope was lost. I'm glad I stayed to see exactly how more apes would become intelligent.
How early the fruit is falling this season? What do you think was going to happen? Where did you think they were going to Rise up from? About the only rise you will get this year is from a little blue pill, my suggestion is you take one immediately, sit back and do what you normally do everynight all by yourself.

Considering that's the whole point of the movie; that's hardly a worthy criticism.
