You are just comparing it to the original which must have seemed like an amazing special effects extravaganza in the 1960's. The new CGI is just to real for you to fool yourself anymore. This was/is a GREAT movie and your review on it was the real waste of time here.

This movie is barely related to the originals. It's merely an origin story. Personally, I'm delighted to see a prequel that stands on its own merits. The filmmakers, for once, didn't just want to make a movie that cashed in on a name, but truly had a good idea and a good movie to be made, complete with original ideas. To compare it to the movies that made the title famous is, I think, to rather miss the point of this one.
