"Rocky 6" to Begin Production in December?
by Scott Weinberg | October 12, 2005
Discuss Article
Production Weekly brings us the news that everyone's favorite 1980's butt-kicker, Sylvester Stallone, will be climbing back into the ring (yes, again) when he writes, directs, and stars in "Rocky 6."

"Lonely and at loose ends, retired boxer Rocky Balboa comes out of retirement, intending to fight a few low-profile local fights just to keep his hand in. But when he's approached to fight a match with reigning heavyweight champ Mason "The Line" Dixon, Rocky's modest little comeback becomes the center of a media firestorm."

"Rocky 6" is scheduled to begin filming early December in Los Angeles.

Hahaha even though i must admit ive been waiting for a 6th Rocky, the story sounds stupid. How many times can Balboa seriously make a comeback. That story dont work anymore, i thought the 6th Rocky was gonna have Balboa in the 'mentor/trainer' role, like Mickey or whatever his name was...with this and i hear another Rambo, whats happened with his story about Biggie and Pac gettin killed?

I'm just waiting for the techno update of Eye of the Tiger. I have to admit, though- I will probably not be able to resist going to see this one. Maybe they'll bring back Clubber Lang.

Rocky VI: Rocky's mid-life crisises or should I say Rocky trying to relive his glory days from a retirement home. Hay at least that would be a new twist on the plot maybe Muhammed ALi and Sylvest Stallone could duke it out in some sort of underground association for senirors.
Argh who am I kidding; I, like probably almost everyone else reading this, am a sucker for the idea of a new rocky. I only hope they can put the rock in it somehow

it will be kind of sad to see him on the ring again, all old and weak

didn't he lost all his money on the last one?

It was a joke.. considering Rocky V is probably one of the worst movies ever.

Give it up Stallone
I know Sly's career is down & out, but come on - he'll be 60 next year. And more Rambo? I've been hearing about that for a decade now, ever since the Oklaholma City bombings. Does he think the 90's never happened?

this is so awesome. It will be horribly bad, and I will be at the movies on opening night drunker than I was at Team America waiting for the laughs to come :)

Way to Old !
So Mr Stallone is doing Rocky 6... This movie will not take place in South Philly but in a nursing home. He will not run up the Art Museums steps, but to his doctors office for his monthly Viagara refill. When he gets into the rink it is due to it is the only place he remembers how to get to and with his Alzheimers kicking in just ends up there time after time. and at the end of this movie, instead of a statue in front of the Spectrum in Philly... he gets a years supply of depends diapers and a bottle of Geritol !!!!!

They must have spun the Wheel of Bad Ideas, but I must say it will make a fine comedy I'm sure.

So who will it be?
Anyone jave a logical answer on who this opponent will be? I think it should be, um, the guy playing the huge guy in X-Men 3... HE was also in Snatch... he's a soccer player and is also the head coach of the soccer team in the movie EuroTrip...

I love the Rocky Movies, especially the montages. Stallone actually still has a pretty ripped body, saw him at a Dolphins game last year. I bet it will be great.

I thought he was making "Rambo 4" next
"Rambo 4" was scheduled to start filming in January, 2006, but production must have been postponed if "Rocky 6" starts filming in December, 2005. Honestly, I think there's more potential in a fourth "Rambo" than a sixth "Rocky."
