Delmer Daves directs this cross between a travelog and a routine romantic drama set in Italy. Set in picaresque Rome, this prepsoterously plotted romantic melodrama features heartthrob Troy Donahue (Summer Place, Parrish) at the height of his stardom with teenage viewers.
Gorgeous locations and unbelievable hair lend interest to this soap opera. Everyone is incredibly young and beautiful. Suzanne is as usual the best thing in the film.
