Sucks!
Basically to cover up the faulty parts, they added in nudity. Losers!
And it's not even true to the real story, so what's the point?
A nuisance to Shakespeare's original work.

This failure of a re-adaptation of the very beloved Shakespearian classic just can't decide whether it wants to be a striking, explicit drama-thriller or a hip, made-for-teen-girls romance. The result is a tasteless mix-up of the two filled with cringe-worthy dialogue, VERY uneven performances (especially by the two bland leads) and only a few inventine moments scattered here and there. In the end, Roméo et Juliette is just about everything we feared it to be... only sometimes worse, and rarely better.

[...]
- J'imagine que tu payes des impôts
- Oh, I pay.

This movie was so bad that I took the time to create an account on this site to talk a little . Most actors are bad, and the script and soundtrack. This adaptation departs greatly from the original story. In this adaptation , they meet at a rave and Romeo is a " stalker " who drives a Mini and who spends his time prowling round about with Juliet. Incidentally, this is the kind of rave where people are aggressive and make the body- surfing (nobody did it at a rave ) . In short, one day (after several scenes of " stalking " ) Juliet embarks with him in his vehicle ( without saying anything ) and the two characters barely talking to one for the rest of the film. Then it is very malaisant during the sex scene because there is no music in this sequence. And finally , the brother of Juliet is a dirty douchebag full of clichés and it offers us the best quote of the movie just after a little sex scene in which we hear the news on the TV in the background:

- Cursed rotten company!
[... ]dropoff Window
- I guess you pay taxes
- Oh, I pay . No choice. I work at the Department of Revenue .
- You should not have told me before ?
- It would have changed anything ?
- A guy like that that he realizes a fantasy!

[ note : ^^ google translate ^^ , see below for legible translation ]

(ending of a sex scene with TV news playing in the background)
- Society is rotten to the core
[...]
- You pay taxes.
- Oh, I pay. I have no choice. I work for the tax department.
- Why didn't you tell me?
- What's the difference?
- A guy likes to know he's living out his fantasy.

This quote is perhaps the only reason to watch the movie .

In short, a little gem.
