Too lacking in the pizazz Williams brings to it to succeed.
A mish-mashed black comedy indictment of pop psychology that never rises above -- or even meets to touch -- the loose idea upon which it is based. More a scraggly weed than a cinematic flower.
Although Williams puts her heart and soul into her part, few of the jokes have much impact. And none are memorable.
The Rose technique is clever, funny and entertaining! It should have been a cult classic, right up there with Eating Raoul.
