  • This is the world of Tiff Wood, the top international sculler. A Harvard grad who trains under the legendary Harry Parker, Tiff is the odds on favourite to capture the gold medal in the 1980 moscow olympics. He willingly risks everything-career,marriage, the chance for a ""normal life""-in his unstoppable quest for exellence. In the great trdition of true olympic spirit, his obsession with the sport takes on an almost religious fervour. But Tiff's hopes and dreams come crashing down when presedent Carter announces the U.S. boycott of the games. In one swift stroke Tiff realizes he has landed back at the starting gate. Years of ceaseless training have been wasted on a moment that will now never come.
