"It's so corny, but it was the first film I saw and the thing about the mother hit me really badly. I remember it was a good connection with my sister, who was fifteen years older. I was about 5 or 6."

"Bambi"? "Big Lebowski"? "Bicycle Theif"? Good stuff.

Again a superb slate of towering classics, just like Bernal. These guys clearly know their stuff.

A great list, Amarcord is an excellent filma and a favourite of my wife (personally '8 1/2' or 'Nights of Cabiria' are my Fellini of choice).

On Diego Luna: I've only seen him in Milk and thought he was the only weak link in an amazing film. I don't know if it was the part of his histrionic performance but I never believed him for a second. Still I'm not going to write the guy off based on one performance.

I agree with Diego Luna, if he has more than 5 movies than he should be entitled to list more than 5 films. As a matter of fact sometimes it requires more than 5 movies to inspire someone to make or break into the film business.

Solid, unpredictable list. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Wonderful list, just like Garcia Bernal's. It's nice to see a couple of actors who have such obvious love and respect for great cinema.
