Ben Affleck's Best Movies

Summary

Once upon a time, it looked like Ben Affleck might spend the rest of his career in little-seen duds like Jersey Girl and Surviving Christmas -- a precipitous fall for a guy who won an Oscar at the age of 25 and starred in blockbusters like Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and The Sum of All Fears. Now just look how things have changed: Having reinvented himself as a critically lauded director with 2007's Gone Baby Gone, Ben's back in front of the camera this weekend in Runner Runner, playing the sleazy head of an online gambling empire who lures a college student (Justin Timberlake) into his operation. What better time to take a fond look back at Mr. Affleck's critical highlights, Total Recall style? Back to Article

Armageddon was good too, but his best performances are on the Town and State of Play.

Loved Argo! But I also really loved his angst riddled punk rock filled "Glory Daze"!

Have any of you thought not to feed the troll? It's kind of like how you don't feed the animals at the zoo.

I can't believe people think " Armageddon" is good. What an awful movie which also includes: Dogma, Chasing Amy, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Argo & The Town are the only fantastic films I've seen with this guy. Everything else that I HAVE seen ranges from "meh" to plain out crap (Daredevil). I will watch Chasing Amy because a lot of my friends recommend it, & I am in serious debate if I should take a chance & just check out Gigli (the reviews on that one make me lose it every time; "It's turkey time, gobble gobble").

Other than that, don't care for him; Damon kicks more ass than him).

If we get the Ben Affleck persona from The Town - Batman might be ok. If we get Ben Affleck from Gigli - Batman's in trouble.

"Chasing Amy" is both Affleck's and Smith's best work ever. And the ending was great.

Man Argo was overrated. Consistently boring throughout I thought, I liked the Town when it came out but it seems liek Affleck gets an easier time critically because people seem to be surprised that he is actually talented.
