Jackie Chan Explains Why "Rush Hour 3" Didn't Happen
"He wants too much power. The movie company hasn't obliged. He wants final editing rights and the final look at the movie and so on ... When he asks me what I want, I say, 'I don't care,' and he'll scold me, saying, 'They make so much money off us. We'll have to get it back."
So, movie fans, there you have it, right from the co-star of the resoundingly popular "Rush Hour" movies: You won't be getting another sequel because the star of "Money Talks" wanted too much money ... and final cut!
No offense to Mr. Tucker, but I just gotta say it: The guy's done two whole movies in the last eight years, both of which are called "Rush Hour." When exactly did he become Tom Cruise?
Anyway, head over to Macleans for the rest of the Jackie Chan interview -- and hey, let's not bash Chris Tucker too mercilessly; his greed just prevented us from sitting through a "Rush Hour 3." Thanks, Chris!
