A gaudy, whirling dervish of escapist fun.

Follows so closely in the footsteps of its hugely successful predecessor that an actual review is practically unnecessary.

The action scenes are still good, but the comedy itself is very slight.

Provides several opportunities for Tucker and Chan to do what they do best: Tucker performs comedy sketches, mostly unrelated to the plot, and Chan executes martial-arts fight scenes.

Rush Hour II is built on the flimsiest of premises for a sequel.

Chan's American movies benefit from a little more accessible storytelling and jokes, as well as no horrible, horrible actors as in some imports from the past.
