Audience Reviews for La Virgen que Forjó una Patria (Saint That Forged A Country)

Ramon Novarro's only Spanish performance as Juan Diego was great. He portrayed an innocent, childish and good indigenous man who became christian and the instrument of the miraculous appeareances of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The film certainly has several historical errors in Juan Diego's part but also during the Independence period where Hidalgo, Allende and Aldama (the mexican independence's heroes) intervene. Some sets were fine, some others frankly looked cheap and out of context. There were some interesting parts in the script and some others that were uninvolving. Significant film overall, not a masterpiece as some people claim.
