This felt like I was watching a Gundam series with its anti-war mantra. The storyline was okay, but I think more apropos of a single episode in the series. There was nothing epic in scale or emotional story that made this feel like a movie.

A good movie, that had the feel of the series Rurouni Kenshin.

But not the Samurai X series, as it is named for.

There is a big difference in the Samurai X series and Kenshin series. Even though they are one in the same.

The difference is in the artwork.

Perhaps I would have been happier having them call this Rurouni Kenshin the Movie.

This is still a highly enjoyable movie however, to the fans of the Samurai X/Kenshin saga.
