Gimy writes: on Oct 29 2007 06:01 AM ok, i'm an idiot...i know. i took a date to see that piece of sh3t and guess what? she got a kick out of me saying what was going to happen before it did. listen, the movie sucks. its BELOW MEDIOCRE entertainment but there's really nothing else that comes out. and honestly, it was better than halloween. that doesn't say much but sh3t, that movie made me run out of the theater and want to kick the sh3t out of rob zombie. i just wish people would stop cramming this garbage up our 2ss and saying its a GOOD flick. its not, they all suck. EVERY saw sucks. i cried laughing at the first one because the acting was soooo bad. they're badly done, POORLY written and the only reason people go see them is because it comes out during halloween and i'm borderline forced by friends to see the hunk of sh3t. this one had NOTHING. its sads. no gore, no laughing, no b33bies, no entertaining quality whatsoever. it was the worst one yet! thank god the Saw people are stupid enough not to milk this series for what its worth, WHY take a year off...is beyond me. i know it only takes 6 minutes to write the entire movie, so whats your point of delaying it? the monkey who pens the script off doing a Planet of the Apes sequel or something?? Gimy writes: on Oct 29 2007 07:03 AM bt, you have no taste in movies. you should watch more than one horror a year...and you'd realize there's alot better flix out there. all i wanna know is why you cats think its "good". were you scared? were you, gulp, SURPRISED by any of it? i don't get it. swear to god, the only props i can give is the transition sequence between scenes when he throws the cat through the glass and the dude comes in the door. THAT, was coo. honestly, that was the only good thing about the movie. so fans, tell us morons who can't see the greatness in this series, whats good about it... (Reply to this) |

dOiNk writes: on Oct 29 2007 09:00 AM lol, gimy you sound like such a little girl... the saw franchise is good, get over it. it has better writing and is definitely more entertaining than 3/4 of the horror movies that come out. Why you people insist on bashing every little thing instead of just relaxing and enjoying a decently thought out movie is beyond me. (Reply to this) |

unbreakable_samurai writes: on Oct 29 2007 09:01 AM Or some people like me, can just ignore it's presence and watch something else. I saw Gone, Baby, Gone which was a solid film. It was very well directed and had strong acting with a slightly flawed but interesting storyline. (Reply to this) |

arcadefire325 writes: on Oct 29 2007 09:08 AM how was saw 4 a decently thought out movie??? i've seen the previous 3 and none of those were decently thought out movies. why would a fourth one be any different??? this movie ran out of ideas by the 2nd one. it is the same stupid crap. you know the beginning guy in the trap is gonna die!!!! i knew that hoffman was the inside person and i didn't even see the movie!!! it was the only other person who didn't end up in a trap!!! you have to be stupid not to figure that one out!!! highdough writes: on Oct 29 2007 09:52 AM What is extremely sad is that in the last six weeks, Resident Evil: Unnecessary, Game Plan: The Pacifier 2, Tyler Perry's Why Do People Keep Seeing His Movies, 30 Days of Night (couldn't think of a joke, there), and now Saw 99 all hit number one, while excellent movies like Michael Clayton, Gone Baby Gone and even Rendition barely made a dent in the box office. No wonder Hollywood makes so much crap. People keep going to see it. At least Superbad and Bourne Ultimatum did well this summer. It would be nice, though, if people went to see some good adult fare, as well, though. (Reply to this) |

dOiNk writes: on Oct 29 2007 09:57 AM In reply to this comment (#1232630) i never said saw was above these other "quality films" only that it's not nearly as bad as you people make it out to be. It does have a cool story and some nice twists, it's an overall enjoyable movie. ...and yes, gimy does sound like a little girl. (Reply to this) |

Gimy writes: on Oct 29 2007 10:21 AM like oooh...my...good, ooooh no you didn't gurl, waaaaateva doink! haha. i do whine like a b3tch sometimes, i know. but still, GIVE me reasons...VALID reasons why its good. i'm sorry, i don't mean to be a d3ckhead but if you really said "nice twists, cool story"...you're slow. i see a 15 year old's idea of a horror. its just so predictable. i give props to one thing, that transition. PLEASE, i beg of you...go watch other horror movies. you'll realize how mediocre the Saw series really is... by the way, i get laid when i go to horrors. a chic's libido goes up BIG time when she sees a scary movie. its proven. i'm a lazy 2ss guy and she wanted to see it. plus of course, i'm a hypocrite. highdough, i have a few reasons for ya bra(and agree about the sh3t movies being #1). people want to be entertained at the theater. pure and simple. explosions, t3tties, action...NO THINKING. thats what theaters are for. usually you want to lay down in the comfort of your own home and be intellectualized by a movie there, instead of being around a group of annoying people in public. the smart movies are for the comfort of your own home, the blow em up smash em kick em in the b2lls...kind of flix, are for the theater. isn't that what those big 2ss subwoofers in there are for? yeah, it sucks cuz alot of sh3t movies get released but...its the reality of the thing (Reply to this) |

highdough writes: on Oct 29 2007 11:05 AM In reply to this comment (#1232689) Ya, it's definitely true that most people like being entertained when they go to a theatre. I loved Superbad and Bourne Ultimatum. They were entertaining AND good quality. The thing with movies like Saw and whatever other crap they've spewed out recently, is that there really aren't a whole lot of `adults' seeing those movies. Adults who complain that Hollywood doesn't make enough good, adult fare aren't seeing the good stuff that does come out, and then they complain there isn't enough. It's one problem about releasing them all around the same time (the fall). I'm guessing the majority of people who would see Michael Clayton don't see a whole lot of movies a year. When you throw out so many at the same time, you're bound to oversaturate he market. Of course, there really haven't been THAT many lately. (Reply to this) |

dOiNk writes: on Oct 29 2007 12:26 PM In reply to this comment (#1232689) lol, dude i see everything... from quality films to absolute crap, so don't give me the whole "go see other movies" because regardless of how inferior saw is to other movies it's still a good franchise. Most of you people just hate it because it's popular, it's the new fad spreading throughout the younger age bracket... IF IT'S POPULAR IT SUX! I'M A NON-CONFORMIST MAN! And predictable? please... there's no way you predicted everything that was going on in the Saw movies. The twists (especially in the first two) were well thought out and definitely bigger than what most can offer. (Reply to this) |

thereign writes: on Oct 29 2007 04:50 PM dOiNk: The entire PREMISE of Saw I falls apart when you take into account the killer was lying face-down on the floor the ENTIRE TIME Cary Elwes(Sp??) and the other guy were trying to figure out how to escape. There's NO WAY IN HELL anyone could hold their breath for the number of hours they were there, and just lie still! It's IMPOSSIBLE! At some point, no matter how distraught or distracted they were by their predicament, the dude's RESPIRATION would have caused his back to rise and fall slightly, and one of them would have seen it! IMPOSSIBLE! Plus, the story was entirely predictable, from beginning to end! The problem with casting someone with a modicum of name recognition like Cary is that as the STAR, you know he's not going to die! And when he finally sawed off his own foot, he looked so retarded when he threw the instrument away--he even made some doofus sound and looked like he had lost I.Q. points!(It was probably at this time they had shown him the actual ending of the script) The entire SAW series is one big, fat piece of sh*t stuffed into a sweetened gumball so that the intellectually impaired will pop it into their mouths and suck on it before realizing what the f**k they've gotten themselves into! You want to fall in with the masses and plop down into "The Wall"-like meat grinder, knock yourself out. But don't even try to justify the existence of some crap like this, or try to say it's well thought out. That's just a fu**in' joke, and the producers of this swill are laughing at their fans all the way to the damn bank. (Reply to this) |

thereign writes: on Oct 30 2007 01:12 PM Jaredisme; Even if you're drugged and knocked out, you still have to BREATHE. Infact people pay money to watch there, so they can see whateva the f*** they like, its the advertising and word of mouth that gets people there, i mean as if anybody will read this and think gee i better not watch saw because gimy's opinion or Doinks, everyone has their taste.
