Ending Already Written for Saw V

dont even put m. night in the same sentence as those hacks, nights movies don't rely on a stpid twist, its just gravy, saw is all twist, nothing else, nights movies have all the combinations for a good movie not just one hack job of one, the saw twists SUCK too, SCREW SAW

Whose movies are you watching? The ONLY thing that Night tries to do is add some pretentious twist to the end of each of his movies as if he's not worthy of writing a real story. Oh wait, it's not actually the 1700's, it's present day and a bunch of people are living in a state park until a mentally retarded Adrian Brody goes on a killing spree and a blind woman has to SPRINT through a forest to find help. Believe me, I HATE the SAW movies even more than M. Night's, but his are terrible as well. Whatever happened to movies like "The Thing," (Carpenter) or "The Fly" (Cronenberg, 1986). Those were movies that sent chills up your spine, using no CGI or cheap scare tactics, just pure horror.

I'm not sure what writer said it, but knowing you're ending and working forward is the best way to write a story with a twist/shock ending. Now, to write a "novel," you should have an idea and just see where the characters take you. Trying to force a serious work of fiction is not recommended. However, "Saw" is not a 'serious work of fiction,' it's easy entertainment.

comparing Saw to Shamalamadingdong is about right, both kinda ride the coat tails of their previous success and keep getting worse and worse. Signs? eh. The Village sucked. Unbreakable wasted two good actors and i didn't even bother with Chic in da Pool...or lady in the water, whatever.

the movie you refer to was NOT a Halloween. It was Friday the 13th 9 aka Jason Goes to He11. Its funny you reference it that way. The idea as bad as it was was actually ripped off a movie in the late 80s with Kyle Mclaughlin(might be wrong last name but he was in twin peaks) called i think tHE hIDDEN. Thje Hidden as a m,ovie was at least somewhat entertaining. Friday 9 wasnt very entertaining except that part where freddys hand pops up and pulls the mask under ground. Than it took alot more years to even put freddy v jason on screen.

Instead we were treated to the delightfully oscar winning movie that was Jason X.

(I sure hope someone knows what sarcasm is before they start blasting me...)

The Saw franchise is played out, but i have to say i did enjoy the fourth movie a lot better than the third. They messed up and killed off Jigsaw too early in the series- I mean Jason and Freddy always came back to kill again, i thought the Saw producers would have stuck to that pattern.

umm honestly, i blame the people who go and watch these...well i don't even like calling them movies, but i guess i have to. I saw the first one in theaters, and vowed never to spend another penny to support these terrible films. The only reason i saw the other two is because a friend rented them, and even then i only watched them to kill some time, and laugh a few times about how aweful they are...

They could have left with some dignity after the third one and ended it as a trilogy. But no...they had to go and make the fourth, and now i read that 5 and 6 are already in the works...somebody stop this madness.

Here's an option for all you haters: JUST DON'T WATCH THEM THEN. Soooo many people come on saying how much they hated Saw 1, 2, 3, and 4, yet they sat through 4 of them. Instead of badmouthing those who like them (and spent just as much as the haters who saw all 4), just wait till the movies you like come out and see those. Such hypocrites.

Shut up, why are you going to "blame" the people who watch these movies like there causing some harm to the film industry. Saw is an interesting franchise. It goes beyond regular horror, with just people slahsing people while they have sex for no reason at all. Freddy and Jason don't have story lines like Saw, and there just good Halloween fun. Your going to see Saw V make 30 million or so opening weekend, at least higher than 25 million.

Sure lady in the water was bad, but whta about the sixth sense and signs, and unbreakable was kinda good. My vote is for all people who pay for a ticket to see any Saw film after 3rd one, to be locked together by the ankles in a dark room, with their backs against a giant wood saw, while they are forced to watch all SAW sequels over and over and over, until one of them inevitably gnaws their own ankles off to escape.

The Saw horror film franchise are like credit card companies; as long as they're still making money, they're gonna still be churned out on the assembly line. The average horror film costs what? About $4 million to make? They're making monster profits, and thats all that counts, unfortunately.
