Video of the Week: Scott Pilgrim vs the World trailer

Finally, the teaser trailer to Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is out! Michael Cera relies on his typical affected shtick a bit much, but otherwise, director Edgar Wright appears to have easily captured the manic crazy energy of the books. Watch the video.

"Clash of the Titans" might suck, but the orignal is incredible enough to get my a$s in the seat when the remake shows up.

Yeah, that Scott Pilgrim trailer has me excited in all kinds of unexpected and inappropriate ways.

I was not even aware of Scott Pilgrim, but after seeing the trailer, it looks twisted enough for me to go see it.

Pilgrim looks alright, maybe silly, not sure.
Think it's for a different generation, just like Twilight, hahahaha!
Wow, sooner or later I'm going to be yelling "You darn teenagers get off my lawn!!"

"Imagine you're a deer. You're prancing along. You get thirsty. You spot a little brook. You put your little deer lips down to the cool, clear water - BAM. A f.uckin' bullet rips off part of your head. Your brains are lying on the ground in little bloody pieces. Now I ask ya, would you give a f.uck what kind of pants the son-of-a-b.itch who shot you was wearing?" Mona Lisa Vito - My Cousin Vinny

This could possibly be the movie that makes me stop hating Michael Cera with the fire of a thousand suns. We'll see, but I'm cautiously optimistic. If not I'll just find him and kick him in the nuts...you've been warned Cera.

How can you guys say you hate Cera? He's awesome! His delivery is perfect! See every film he's been in for examples of this:

Superbad, Juno, Year One (he saved it from being entirely terrible), Nick and Norah

C'mon, Cera is awesome!

He plays the same damn character in every movie he's in. He's never any different. He has no range. He's just playing himself in all these roles. He can't play anything other than the geeky loser. That's not acting, that's reciting dialogue.

Hrm. They're going to have to cut a better trailer for Scott Pilgrim in order for me to want to see it....

I'm glad ARTaylor is such an expert on acting.

Too be fair uou don't have to know a lot about acting to tell someone is doing the exact same thing over and over again. I mean honestly, if he's such a fantastic actor the audiance can't pick up the subtle nuances is he really that great an actor. I always thought it was the actors job to convey himself to the audience. If an actor gives a great performance in the woods and no one is around to see it is it still a great performance? Did I just blow your mind?
