Seven (Se7en)

It is a good film, but it is no where near as good as silence of the Lambs (SOTL) SOTL is in a league of it's own, i am not saying this is a bad film, is a great film, silence of the lambs is a classic, legendary film.

Agreed 100%. I was nowhere near as impressed with this movie as I was with SOTL. SOTL had a much stronger plot and didn't fall back on trying to appall it's audience with it's graphic shots.

The storyline for Seven is a mile more complex than Silence Of The Lambs and alot more confronting, visuals aside.
Silence Of The Lambs is confronting for people who hardly ever watch 'extreme' movies

Wow, how can a legit movie critic say Seven 'is far more interesting' than Silence of the Lambs? SOTL is on a whole nother level compared to 'Seven'. Personally I thought Seven was a big let down. Good day sir.

Silence of the Lambs AS WELL AS Se7en are some of the greatest horror films of that decade. Why compare? It's like comparing Mozart to Bach

^Perfect description of such comparisons. Silence of the Lambs and Se7en are two completely different movies. It's exactly like saying Mozart was better than Bach, just because they both play the piano.

Actually, it's like ignorantly saying Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana are 2 of the greatest guitarists of all time because people listen to mainstream music and they hear these names all the time. There are plenty more skillful guitarists in the heavy metal genre, but because it isn't mainstream, doesn't get the coverage.
Silence of the Lambs is a 'mainstream' movie and very simplistic.

You complete, total, pretentious twat. It's no surprise you're a hipster when it comes to music, but you're a hipster when it comes to movies too? Ok, lets get one thing straight here: your "amazing" metal guitarists are a lot worse than they look. Sure, they can play fast. But do they have the songwriting ability to go with it? Are you one of those people that thinks Yngwie Malmsteen is better than Joe Satriani, simply because he was born with faster fingers? Secondly, "mainstream" movies barely even exist. Sure, there's obscure, good music out there, but it's completely different with movies. If a movies good enough (say, even better than SOTL or Se7en), it will be well known. Every GREAT movie ever made is very well known. So don't go all hipster on me when movies are involved. Hope you learned something for once in your miserable life.

I for one love The Silence of the Lambs, but it's not in the same calibre as Se7en. Se7en is above SOTL in almost every way. Se7en has a better plot, and a far better ending. The only thing better about SOTL is the acting.

seven has great elements, but its not a classic. im sick of how overrated this film is. zodiac is a far superior serial killer film, and is definitely fincher's most underrated film.
