Critic Review - Creative Loafing

As for the fanboys, they really should do something more beneficial to humankind than attacking female-centric films every chance they get -- ever hear of that proverbial long walk off a short pier?

Matt! I wish it were just the fanboys! After Sarah Jessica Parker was rated "ugliest" by some men's magazine, I figured there would be no way this movie would get decent ratings. ... and I was right! She's beautiful - it's not about looks - it's about guts! I always knew these were gutsy roles that these 4 women were playing. What one would hope men understand is that women approving of this series doesn't mean they want to be just like all of the characters - they just like seeing women who have some interesting conflicts and aspects to their characters - women that aren't SIMPLE! Women are TIRED of how they are portrayed as either young sex objects for men, or wives and grandmothers: wise and understanding. WE'RE PEOPLE and HUMAN BEINGS for God's sake!!!!
