She meets Mike (C. Thomas Howell), a tough drifter, and has him do favors for her in order to score more smack. Though Antonia and Mike do not have a relationship, they do feel an attraction to one another. One night, they give in to their sexual urges. When Mike begins to have an emotional as well as carnal longing for Antonia, he decides that he will do anything to help her kick the habit.
