a plot riddled with problems and inconsistent kung fu action makes this an entertaining but fairly average film. the contention between schools with differing styles made for some interesting scenes, but overall not one of the better kung fu films.

A huge lot of fun. The fight sequences were a blast and although the plot is kind of an excuse for the combat, but it felt unique and original. Gordon Liu's directorial debut was quite a success.
Oh yeah, seeing it on a big screen? Massively kewl.
