what a great critic. just going against the grain to 'look different' and 'savy' or are you the kind of person who whould give 'the forgotton' 4.5 stars and call it a "freaking delight". i'm betting on the latter.
To be fair, there is Christian symbolism in there, but it's pretty light. Plus, Christian symbolism is every-freaking-where, so you're probably right in your assessment that the reviewer is a butthurt atheist.
how in ****'s name does this count as a review?? if you click [More] it goes to some ****ty kansas based website that has no review at all. wtf is going on here?
Wow, after reading your entire review, I think I can honestly say you didn't watch the movie. How was anything in that movie "a blatant Christ-parable"? I don't think Frank Darabont is even a Christian. You must be just a paranoid, butthurt atheist or something. You probably should never review a movie again.
To be fair, it sort of is a Christian parable. Not that that's a bad thing. The film goes out of the way to show Andy as a perfectly innocent man, and in a way, his prison sentence could be compared to the crucifixion. That's not a bad thing. In my opinion, it makes the film more deep, and the character more likable.
Your comment made me laugh so hard and I don't know why. It probably has something to do with the blatant and proud disregard for this idiot critic's feelings. Yours is just about a proper response to anyone who would give this film a rotten. We're all either Brookses or Reds. This guy is a Brooks, except Brooks was nice and shouldn't have killed himself... hmm, bad comparison
Why are these men in jail? That's the worst you can say about this movie? Give me a freaking break man. This is a brilliant movie, just do us all a favor and stop trying to sound smart or funny

Just wow. You are an idiot.
