Poster of the Week: Inception

Why so similar? This poster for Christopher Nolan's Inception looks rather similar to the early teaser Joker posters for The Dark Knight. But, hey, if it ain't broke, why not copy it shamelessly? View the poster.

Video of the Week: Alice in Wonderland trailer

I haven't been into what's been released for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, but this new trailer is turning me around. Seeing a lot of crispy weirdness and the hint of much action and adventure lying in store for us. Watch the videos.

Sherlock Holmes will be thoroughly Rotten by its release date. That's too bad, but I'm predicting it a mile away!!!

What's up with the link to the Inception poster? Seems to bring me to Inception's Tomatometer page, not a larger version of the poster.

@Chris B.

RT does not have The Clash of the Titans or Iron Man 2 trailers posted on this site yet, that is why they are not included. Agree that the Clash trailer was pretty bad awesome, Worthington might bring manly man action heros back to the movies.

Daybreakers looks interesting and original, but my only worry is that the release date is in January and that is normally a dumping ground for bad movies, but I hope it is a pleasant surprise. Same feelings on the Book of Eli, I was really intrigued with the trailers because they do not really say what it is about other than a book, but the release date is not that good, so that does not bold well. I thought A Couple of Dicks was changed to Cop Out? Why is it still listed under A Couple of Dicks? Sex and the City 2 is very unnecessary. Kick-*** could be great. I think it is stupid they can call the movie Kick-***, but Kevin Smith cannot call his movie A Couple of Dicks. Inception is sure to be one of the best movies of next year, and more than likely the best blockbuster, can't wait for it.

Something about that Alice in Wonderland movie is putting me off it. It seems like their trying to turn Alice in Wonderland into some kind of heroic quest fantasy which it isn't, never has been and should never be. The original book was just a series of weird places and weird characters and weird wordplay; trying to connect it all seems unnecessary and maybe a little damaging to the spirit of the original, and I don't like the way whenever it's adapted that people put stuff from Through the Looking Glass in it, which I've always had the opinion of being a sort of different world from Wonderland (and even weirder, in ways).

ROBERT DOWNEY JUNIOR in SHERLOCK HOLMES is nothing less than an awesome actor.
Watching Robert Downey, Jr. on INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO on cable last Monday gave me a little insight.

Robert uses a very subtle and maybe completely unconscious form of self-hypnosis or self-trance. in a clip from CHAPLIN, Downey did a perfect ballet minuet . . . for a moment Downey WAS CHARLIE CHAPLIN in mind, body, and soul.

THAT'S How Downey's still alive: heroin, cocaine, severe alcoholic consumption.
only ONE ASPECT of Robert is doing the drugs
a SECOND ASPECT of Robert acts
and a THIRD ASPECT of Robert is Robert . . .
(I'm pretty sure he's not aware that he self-hypnotically "slides" into his characters-its a natural occurrence).

so if one aspect of Downey is high on black tar heroin, another aspect of Downy is not high at all.
He's a no less than a genius. INSIDE THE ACTOR'S STUDIO is always good, thank God for cable.

"Inside the Actors Studio" has totally "jumped the shark", imo. It used to be soooo much more cerebral and sophisticated.

Of course, that was before it left The (far superior) New School for the (much lamer) Pace University*.

I don't know about "Shrek Forever After". The title is awful, and the third was average at best. But we'll see.
