Movie Info

Past and present collide when a London mansion housing a monumental collection of photographs is purchased by an American entrepreneur intent on turning the building into a business school. Determined to clear the house of its prized contents, the millionaire (played by Liam Cunningham) finds he's met his match in the house staff (including Lindsay Duncan as the house manager), who are hell-bent on preserving the archives at all costs.

Audience Reviews for Shooting the Past

Interesting. The photos in this are extraordinary. The movie itself was a little slow, and rather anticlimatic.

Super Reviewer

"Shooting the Past is extrodinary and unique."
An absolutely beautifully put together series, Timothy Spall stirs the pot with Chaos and mystery. The creeping climatic ending is unpredictable, unsuspectingly and utterly heartbreaking. The Photographs alone are worth the investment, their history surrounding them mesmerise your curiosity.
