"Revelation" is incredibly boring as well as totally baffling.

I don't know if you read these comments, but to answer your question with the speeding police cars - I have no flipping clue.

In Silent Hill 3 (the game that this movie is based on) that never happens. I'm still upset that they didn't show Heather having an abortion to get rid of demon baby. Because, that's what was supposed to happen in the game. Heather is the cult's Holy Mother, and she is supposed to give birth to their messiah. Who would bring pain to our world.

I guess that now the she didn't decide to get rid of it, she's going to have that child and let her (it's a girl) wreak on the human race? They really could have afforded to make the movie longer. What a terrible ending.

Also, to your one comment about access to Silent Hill. The "Otherworld" is the whole universe. In Silent Hill 3, the nightmare realm comes up in the city that Heather and her father are staying in.

It's sort of like Constantine where our world was parallel to Hell and Heaven. In the Silent Hill series, our entire universe runs parallel with two other ones as well.

The police cars are a reference to a character in the latest installment of the Silent Hill game series, so I guess this movie is geared towards the half dozen people in America who would understand *and* appreciate such a stupid reference.
