i loved this film

Even with the typical romantic comedy ending, I truly felt like it was deserved. Yes, it was a little too nicely wrapped up, but I was so in love with these characters by the end of the movie that I found myself just wanting them to be happy for a little while.

I love this movie so much, I have seen it 7 times. I bought the soundtrack, and will be buying the Bluray when it's released.

I hated this film, not because the plot of the acting but because I was expecting something different from an art film. I so disappointed, after checking the RT ratting I was prepared to watch something original. The plot is basic as an apple , 2 young gorgeous characters meet each other and falling in love, there is some dancing taken from Dirty Dancing idea, some mental disorder issue, father and son relationship, ex wife , black character doing the funny part , etc. Too obvious same old ingredients for a Rom-Com and no chemistry at all. The movie doesn't work , the acting is so bad I wanted to vomit in the middle of the film . I understand you could love this movie if this were the first picture you have seen in your life otherwise ...c'mon people. ....next please !!

you're kind of alone but to each their own...
it's hardly a typical rom-com given the degree of importance mental illness plays. no one called it a suspense film either so i always laugh when people imply knowing the ending is bad.

jennifer lawrence was amazing in this (see oscar win) and bradley cooper was as well (see oscar nom). i'm missing how they didn't have chemistry.

I loved it too. The thread above this one just infuriates me "One of the worst movies I've ever seen". I don't know why I take the time to read their posts. I can't wait to see it again :).

Incredible film!!! I'm so confused by people saying things like Cooper and Lawrence "crazy" enough to be believable. That's one of the great parts of the movie. They both slowly break down the initial judgments of their mental illness and then build from there. Absolutely outstanding.

Instead of seeing this film, watch Vincent Gallo's BUFFALO 66. This film rips it off so much its weird. David O Russell should have said his pale copy of BUFFALO 66 was a remake
