Critic Review - tonymacklin.net

Where have you gone, 007? Skyfall has transformed you from the human, vulnerable, skillful spy into a Superhero Bond. In Skyfall, Bond is part Aquaman and part Road Runner, with some familial angst pilfered from Bruce Wayne. He's become an action toy.

Pretty much agree with the comment about Bond as a superhero. It was all OTT and lacked the realism that a modern audience deserves. Tonnes of product placing... James Bond drinks 'Sprunt' beer, a la Alan Partridge. They went for the big bucked hype and it shows. This should be the Bond swan song... a celebration of 50 years of the franchise it was OK just all a bit stupid and lots of gaps in the physics.

not bad but not BOND. More like Jason Bourse in first half and some kind of nonsensically emotional 'night of the living dead' in second. worst was that the villain was not willing to destroy the world!! classic bond dies.

First of all, I m a very very fan of this franchise, but in this particular movie I m must to say, that Sam Medez was the best option in termas to choice the director for this film.
As well the actor Ralph Fiennes to play M. and ofcourse the election to play the sountrack Thomas Newman.
But wen you analise the scrip there you faind thereĀ“s not so good as I m espected.
the vilan is true he is to bad but bad for what, for revenge??
for jealous, becouse is not totally clear for me, the purpose to kill M is no
enough -

So, people are mouthing off about a movie, they haven't actually seen yet.As opposed to a reviewer who actually has seen it. It's a case of " You are wrong because i don't agree with you, therefore I'm right." Welcome to 2012 where USA is full of overly sensitive, uninformed adults who moan and complain when people don't agree with them.

Bond has been around for 50 years so it has catered to the times during its history. 60-80 there it had its camp, sillyness, over the top action scenes but it was sexy and stylistic. The last few have had its own style and grit to go with the times so there is nothing wrong with it. It needed a re-boot to capture an audience.

Any film about a spy getting shot at with a thousand Rounds per movie and doesn't get hit once, well he's a Action Toy!!! FACT. But the new bond films are more realistic then the past. In Casino Royale bond got shot with a nail gun I've never seen him get hurt before that. This bond gets minor injuries but he keeps on coming.

BTW I've seen every bond film and love them all. Except die another day, thats just awful. LOL

Let me translate Macklin's review--what he is really saying is "Please visit my crappy website where I flame good films for traffic."

He also thought Cowboy's vs Aliens was fresh...

complete pifl, Tony Macklin, get a walking stick and f'in retire please because you clearly fell asleep like an old goat in the chair when the film was playing. Everyone in the cinema loved this film, you could see it, grity, realistic and sinister in every twist. You don't get it, and therefore you should be reviewing the Mr Men Cartoons!
