Mr. Balagueró is so overtaken by his villain that he becomes like César, displaying an eagerness to play the role of tormentor, which kills both the movie's pleasure and its flickering political subtext.

Hard as it is to find a decent rental space in any town, it's clearly harder to spin dramatic gold out of tired urban legends.

While Sleep Tight is more a dark thriller than a straight horror it inhabits some pretty creepy, twisted territory ...

Luis Tosar is electrifying as every tenant's worst nightmare in this deeply unsettling, shrewdly measured slice of Hitchcock.

Luis Tosar's performance is central to the success of Sleep Tight, a taut psychological thriller set in an upmarket apartment block.

"Sleep Tight" is well-directed by Spain's Jaume Balaguero, the guy who gave horror fans "[REC]" and "[REC] 2." It's definitely worth a rental.

So well-performed, finely crafted & classically constructed that it seems hard to accept that every twist and turn is leading up to a chillingly sick joke; but all this, including the dark humour, contributes to its decidedly Hitchcockian flavour.

It's a stalker movie. But some ingenious variations, shrewd direction, and a killer lead performance render it fresh and absolutely entertaining.

Lacks transparent thrills, but its dedication to psychological disease and escalating panic results in a tremendously satisfying feature, low-key but splendidly sinister.

"Sleep Tight" makes a sounder case for nocturnal Webcams than the "Paranormal Activity" franchise ever could.

Clever suspense cinema with a gleam in its eye and ice in its heart from an emergent Spanish A-lister. Hitchcock himself would be proud, and maybe shocked.

Even though the central character is somewhat undefined, this film is a thorough creep-out, playing on our vulnerabilities while making the villain the most sympathetic person on-screen.
