The Slender Thread (1965)
When a woman who has taken an overdose of sleeping pills calls a crisis help-line, an inexperienced student volunteer attempts to keep her talking whilst police try to trace her whereabouts. This drama was suggested by an article that appeared in Time magazine in 1964.
