At 12-years-old, Taliesin Jones (John Paul Macleod) is dealing with the hardships of adolescence. Between his increasing interest in the opposite sex, and having to defend himself against bullies at school, Taliesin has a lot on his plate. In addition, his mother (Geraldine James) has deserted the family, leaving Taliesin and his resentful older brother to live with their distant, non-communicative father (Jonathan Pryce). Taliesin latches onto religion when he witnesses a supposed spiritual healing, forming a secret society at school called "The Believers." Together, the club will test the limits of their newfound faith. Ultimately uplifting, this heartwarming tale takes a unique look at the process of growing up. [More]
