A Catholic police detective (Tony Lo Bianco) searches New York City's occult underworld for answers to a series of bizarre and seemingly unrelated killings. In a strange twist, it's not the murderers themselves he's after--they didn't even try to elude the law, and all are in custody. However, each had only four words to say when confessing: "God told me to." Comedian Andy Kaufman appears in a small role as a police officer who begins shooting in the middle of New York's St. Patrick's Day parade. VENOM: When an international terrorist (Klaus Kinski, AGUIRRE, WRATH OF GOD) hatches a plot to kidnap a wealthy couple's child along with the family's maid (Susan George, DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY) and chauffeur (Oliver Reed, GLADIATOR), it seems like the perfect crime.
