Sure, the main characters are pretty selfish and obnoxious folks, but that doesn't mean their story's not worth telling.

These two are as far from average as any middle-class Phoenix siblings can get. Louis and Hilary combine the vulgar and the poetic as they badger, berate and bewitch each other. Louis has something Hilary desperately needs, and Hilary has something Louis cannot live without. Both will fight to the death not to give it to each other. And it all takes place with company in the house. Welcome to the family. -- © Pomegranate Films [More]

Reviews for Solitude
Two siblings and a would-be lover scratch and claw at the air and each other...
An intersibling death match reminiscent of Sam Shepard's True West, the independent feature Solitude details a tortured, possibly incestuous relationship.
When the [ending] surprises finally come, the letdown in the audience is palpable, as the twists are small and relatively inconsequential.
