Carpenter's consummate craftsmanship--Worthy homage to the likes of Argento and Hitchcock!!

An entertaining and exciting thriller that proves Carpenter's talent. This is a TV movie that rise above the rest.

A bland t.v. movie that shows some directorial flair utilizing Hitchcock's 'Rear Window' to some effect. But the problem is Lauren Hutton's performance is so lousy and unconvincing that the film sinks to the point of no return.

O filme se sustenta como um suspense eficiente, apesar da fraca atuação de Lauren Hutton, que interpreta uma protagonista igualmente sem graça.

Probably the worst thing that Carpenter has ever done. To think that this came out the same year as Halloween. While there have been great and suspenseful TV movies this is not one of them. But hey at least you get some Barbeau and Seinfeld's Uncle Leo playing a Peeping Tom

A bit boring but I thought Lauren Hutton was magnificent as Leigh Michaels. Worth watching even it's just once.

Not one of John Carpenter's best moments but for a late 70's TV movie it's better than most. It's biggest weak point is the killer's reveal which once you see him you find yourself wondering who the hell he was.

Not Carpenter's best but deserves a watch defitantly.

Shows definite signs that Carpenter was a talent in the making, but suffers greatly from Lauren Hutton trying to be quirky.

A woman moves into a high rise apartment and finds herself tormented by a stalker. One thing she doesn't even bother to do until the last act of the film is close her fucking drapes, which could go a long way towards curbing this type of behavior.

Just saying.

Made for TV movie isn't ever really scary, but has a decent cast and solid performances.

Worth a rental.

Someone's Watching Me write this review because they want to know if this movie is good.Well it is for amovie, ahoorror movie written before the sllasher movie era actually began it's good. The main character is strong and shows everyone she's not scared of confronting the killer. It shows you the obscene caller for one of the first times. And it shows you that for a horror movie to be good you don't need more than one death. The only part I didn't like were the last 50 seconds, because they were strange but it was a good movie.

lukewarm "lost" John Carpenter tv movie. I wonder if this might have faired better with the classic Carpenter music scores. Slow with no real payoff plus Hutton annoying talks to herself way too much. Can't really recommend it.

This was made for TV and I wish this would have been mad for the theaters because, while this is good, it feels like it was missing something because of the restrictions. You can also see Carpenter's work getting much better since "Assault". There are some shots in this movie that he actually copied for his next movie "Halloween".

Pretty decent for a TV movie. It didn`t feel like it was made by John Carpenter. I`m used to seeing him make a highly entertaining horror, thriller. Although meant to be a thriller, there`s nothing really that thrilling about it.

I almost fell asleep watching it because it was so boring in some parts. The acting was decent but the ending just fell flat. After building up all the suspense in this movie, the viewer is looking forward to a surprise ending and finding out who the killer is but it doesn`t. This was no where near as good as Halloween or The Fog. It`s a good movie to watch when you`re really bored but don`t expect a great movie like I did.

John Carpenter is a great horror director but sometimes he just misses the ball like with this and Prince of Darkness.

A very creepy, Hitchcockian-like TV film from John Carpenter. I thought it was really riveting, & very suspenseful. Recommended for all Carpenter fans.

TV flick that JC did mostly to get food on the table. Very disappointing, loose directing, bad acting and it does look like a so-so TV flick from the 70's. For hardcore fans only.
