Soul Survivors (2000)

Critic Consensus: Soul Survivors' stock characters and utter lack of suspense gives viewers little reason to attempt deciphering the confusing plot.

Movie Info

College freshman Cassandra, also known as "Cassie", steps into a nightmare of otherworldly visitations after surviving a devastating car accident. Haunted by a grim reaper of a far different kind, her only hope is to cling to chance encounters with her lost love Sean and the aid of a mysterious young priest named Father Jude. It is the spirit of Sean, her soul mate, who guides her to love, but it is her friends Matt, Annabel and Annabel's morose friend Raven who try to draw her to the dark side.

A horror movie without horror, a spook pic without spookiness and a metaphysical drama without the slightest spiritual tug.

A cinematic oxymoron: the tasteful teensploitation pic.

The concept of the story is far more interesting than the finished product, which is standard fare at best.

Audience Reviews for Soul Survivors

A teen Horror which was not particualarly well acted, could have been a made for tv Horror had it not had the Casey Affleck name associated with it. The ending was fairly decent and the whole thing was watchable, but forgetable too.

Really poor excuse for a horror, you think it's a slasher film but then it's not. Terrible.

When this Movie started I thought here comes some more teen horror, Actually it was beyond that, pretty good. Glad I added it to my collection
