Movie Info

Space Master X-7 is the name of an earth satellite, which at the beginning of the film returns to earth with samples of Martian fungus in tow. During a lab mishap, the fungus is exposed to human blood; enjoying the taste, it begins to expand, and soon the countryside is terrorized by what scientists have labelled "The Blood Rust". Making matters worse, an unknown woman is carrying spores from the fungus, and may be unwittingly spreading them to her friends and family. Famed voiceover artist Paul Frees essays one of his few starring film roles as Dr. Charles Pommer, the unfortunate scientist who inadvertently sparks the Blood Rust invasion. Moe Howard, of "Three Stooges" fame, has a terrific minor role as a helpful cab driver.more
