collex writes: on Jan 11 2009 04:34 PM He didn't mention it was his pick for the next villain. he mentionned he liked Morbius. We must not jump on to conclusion. I think there are way better villain to use before Morbius. The Lizard, Kraven, Vulture (by Ben Kingsley plz) and Scorpion are all better than Morbius. And I don,t see how you can do 2 movies with Morbius without putting Blade in it, wich I doubt will ever happen. (Reply to this) |

jokerboy1991 writes: on Jan 11 2009 04:43 PM In reply to this comment (#2246541) Yeah he just said he liked Morbius, that doesn't mean he is going to use him. I think Raimi could make him work because of the supernatural factor but I would rather see some other villains for the 4th film (and or 5th). I think Mysterio could be cool, so could Carnage, and maybe even Electro. I am not really sold on Vulture. (Reply to this) |

DivineCC writes: on Jan 11 2009 05:04 PM Carnage is a long shot, even though the fans would like to see him. I'd like to see Carnage as well, but its far more likely we'll finally be seeing The Lizard and someone else. (Reply to this) |

Eric S. writes: on Jan 11 2009 05:47 PM Morbius is cool, but I really see him being more of a Blade villian. For Spidey 4 they should highly consider Mysterio, Kraven, Lizard, Scorpion, or Vulture. (Reply to this) |

Salty Gritts writes: on Jan 11 2009 06:00 PM Rami is big on "classic" villains which means Carnage is most likely out, especially after the disaster of having Venom in Spider-Man 3. Lizard is most likely especially since Kurt Connors is already a character in the series. After him Kraven or possibly Black Cat could be interesting/possible. (Reply to this) |

greg_dean_schmitz writes: on Jan 11 2009 06:12 PM I do like the idea of the villains being the Lizard and Morbius... the person at that site who mentioned the idea that they could be the results of the same experiment actually hit upon a pretty clever idea. Also, both Morbius and the Lizard just work really well as counter points to Spider-Man. The Lizard is what could have happened to Peter Parker: instead of being perfectly human looking, what if he had turned into a giant spider ? And Morbius is that science vs supernatural thing (even though technically he's not a "magical" vampire... his powers do have scientific origins). But yes, as has been said, we don't know he's actually going to use Morbius. He just said he likes him. I like portabello mushrooms, but I'm not making a movie about them ! (Reply to this) |

JUDGE DREDD writes: on Jan 11 2009 06:28 PM Rhino could be cool but more a cameo fight. Electro maybe, Definately LIZARD, afterall Doc Connors has been introduced. Carnage maybe as a buy product of Venom? Scorpion maybe. Vulture, not keen on him but Ben Kingsley could do him proud. Mysterio maybe. The shame i feel is, that Spidermans best villains have all been used up. And wasted too if you count venom. Green Goblin and Doc OCK are the best IMO. With any of the other villains it could turn rather ugly and Power Rangers ish. Except for Venom, I would like to see some sewer action, until the next Ninja Turtles film that is. (Reply to this) |

Flap s. writes: on Jan 12 2009 12:07 AM So long Raimi is directing Carnage is never going to be in the movie especially after how the amazing Venom was ****ed up. I don't really care that much about Spider Man after the disaster that was part 3. (Reply to this) |

Flap s. writes: on Jan 12 2009 03:09 AM I have to admit that a crossover with Blade would be kind of cool, to bad Snipes is in jail ;) (Reply to this) |

Looselycult writes: on Jan 12 2009 05:16 AM For Spidey 4 they should highly consider Mysterio, Kraven, Lizard, Scorpion, or Vulture. I can't believe you people prefer Fish Bowel Head, Yachoff the Hunter, Green Power Ranger with a tail, and Old man in a boa, to the Lizard and Morbius. These two guys are really the only logical pick for 4, and the only way it could even begin to redeem # 3. Geese! Next thing you know is your going to say is that Sandman should be the next villain. Oh wait. (Reply to this) |

John Z. Delorean writes: on Jan 12 2009 06:16 AM Kraven and The Lizard. I think most people have been waiting on the Lizard since Doctor Connor showed up in the movies and Kraven hunting Spidey in the city could finally give the flicks the darker edge they need and move away from the almost broadway musical turn it took in the last one. NO to Carnage tho its just Venom lite anyway. (Reply to this) |

willywonkanobi writes: on Jan 12 2009 07:39 AM I have no opinion, but whatever they end up doing, I will see it even if I am opposed to the idea... just like Spider-Man 3. It left a bad taste in my mouth, but even if they said the villains were going to be Hydro Man and Rhino, I would probably still see it. It is Spider-Man. I mean, come on. (Reply to this) |

The Cunning Linguist writes: on Jan 12 2009 08:17 AM Lizard & Kraven will be the villians. Kurt Connors' experiment goes horribly wrong and runs amok as the Lizard. Peter Parker has some sort of crisis of conscience because he knows the Lizard is Dr. Connors and so he wants to lure the Lizard into captivity without hurting Dr. Connors. Kraven comes onto the scene to much fanfare to "hunt" the Lizard. Yadda-Yadda-Yadda, Spiderman 4 is better than Spiderman 3 and washes the bad taste out of everyone's mouth. (Reply to this) |

Dachshund96 writes: on Jan 12 2009 09:06 AM Morbius is not exactly the classic "villain" and one of the reasons I hate Spider Mans self righteous lifestyle. Morbius does kill those that are bad or evil, which makes him a target for holier than though spider man, but he is not a bad guy. This does not make a villain. I love Morbius. (Reply to this) |

tomwaitsjr writes: on Jan 12 2009 11:57 AM Craptastic. As long as Raimi is attached, I agree with Flap S., I have no interest. If it somehow gets reviews at 4-5 stars, then I'll watch it. Otherwise, I don't care. (and as I always do on Spider-man posts. . .I must add. . . MAKE KIRSTEN DUNST GO AWAY. ME NO LIKEY) Make her the villain. She kind of is, as she ruins every scene she's in thus far. Make her new, her superpower is to make all those around her stupid, like Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan. . . (Reply to this) |

Flinx writes: on Jan 12 2009 12:15 PM Instead of a classic one hero/one to two villians setup they should diversify. Spidey/Johnny Storm kind of thing-or if they use Morbius intro Dr. Strange. Or, to be truly original, intro a brand new, never before seen villian. Expand the mythos just like they did the web shooters. There are plenty of things they could do to recapture the franchise after number three (a hero never, NEVER hits his girlfriend!!) (Reply to this) |

CodeClearanceBlue writes: on Jan 12 2009 01:00 PM Don't know if anyone remembers or not, but in issues #200-201 of Amazing Spider-Man, both the Lizard -and- Morbius are the star villains. And it was one of the craziest and creepiest plotlines ever. Spidey was bitten Morbius and grew two extra pairs of arms! Sounds silly, but read it. So, a film with both of those bad guys is not inconceivable (and you all know they won't be able to leave it at just one villain). Anyway, as long as there's no more scawny, undernourished Venoms and snow-boarding Green Goblins, I'll be happy. (Reply to this) |
