Pretty funny parody of Spiderman starring Rowan Atkinson as "Spider-Plant Man," the title character. When not in costume, he is a goofy journalist named "Peter Piper." The beautiful Rachel Stevens of the pop group "S Club" plays his love-interest, Jane Mary. MacKenzie Cook, most known for his character "Ragetti," from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, (The pirate with the wodden eye) plays a scientist in the lab where Atkinson is bit. Simon Pegg plays a repoter, and his collaborator, Nick Frost, plays a fellow scientist. Jim Broadbent, who recently starred in Hot Fuzz with the two, plays Batman, and Robin is played by Tony Robinson, who is most known for his role on the British television series, "Blackadder." Alltogether it is a pretty funny short, which was originally made for Comic Relief 2005, and aired on BBC. Parts one and two can be watched here on flixter under video clips on the page for this movie, or they can be found on Youtube.

part of the uk comic relief event this is a pretty basic and not very funny parody of spiderman. with the talent involved you'd think it would be worth watching but alas its tiresome mostly childish jokes and the parody is not even that funny to begin with. Luckily its only about 15 minutes (or maybe half an hour i forget) so it dont outstay its welcome.......no im lying it does! It will probably be on youtube if you feel the need to check it out.

13 minutes is exactly how long a super-hero spoof should be
January 7, 2009
Probably one of the best spoofs I've seen. It's only about 15 minutes long but it has a really good cast including:
-Rowan Atkinson
-Jim Broadbent
-Mackenzie Crook
-Nick Frost
-Simon Pegg
-Tony Robinson
-Rachel Stevens

Haha, I remember this being on. Although I was too young to remember it.

it was entertaining, and was pretty funny, too. I would have liked Working Title's biggest actors (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) to have a bigger part in it, though.
