Giant SpongeBob Stolen
by RT Staff | December 02, 2004
Discuss Article
More than 50 SpongeBob SquarePants inflatable balloons have been stolen from Burger King resturants nationwide, the AP reports. Weighing in at 50lb and costing $500 each, these balloons are part of a promotional campaign for the "SpongeBob SquarePants" movie that's currently playing in theaters. "It could be a childhood prank or an adult trying to get a fad item for Christmas," Putnam County sheriff's Lt. Steve Rose says. Just don't get any ideas, folks.

First of all, van, you're a moron. I recommend looking up "sarcasm" in the dictionary.

Second of all, are these things that easy to steal? Maybe I'll be picking myself up a cheap early Christmas present. For eBay.

I want one of those so bad, but I read in one article how the police were looking to arrest those that steal one, so I got discouraged. They are awesome! How can they not expect a Spongebob fan to want one?
