I laughed a few times, mostly at Missi Pyle's antics.
isn't exactly the kind of movie that you would expect
Is "Spring Breakdown" as good as "Mean Girls"? Or even as good as "Baby Mama"? No, not quite. But it's funny enough to be in the same neighborhood, and that makes it well worth a recommendation.
Raunchy comedy is a waste of time, brain cells.
Thirty-something girls gone wild!
Thirty-something girls gone wild!
a shapeless disaster
When I did laugh, it was because of some weird little twist one of the actors gave to a line reading or some bit of physical comedy they tried. It wasn't because the movie itself was actually witty.
Spring Breakdown - Three terrific actresses in one mediocre misfire.
Spring Breakdown rides a very fine line between total trash and intelligent provocation, mall multiplex dreck and Troma-esque satire via the grotesque.
A very bad genre exercise starring some very good comedic actresses who really should change agencies soon.
They're not reinventing anything here, but it's a better than sitting through The House Bunny if you're out there looking for a healthy dose of comedy girl-power.
Quite honestly it is a pretty bad movie, but the actresses in this are all so funny I couldn't help but laugh a few times, even if it was in a cringing sort of way. Kind of like a second rate Romy & Michele, but not as funny, and loses points for the inclusion of Sophie Monk (the lips are as bad as the acting).

Oh, come on! When I see names like Jane Lynch, Parker Posey, and Will Arnett paired with SNL staples like Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, and Seth Meyers I am thinking that there might be something funny going to happen even if just borne of improvisation. I was really wrong. This was horrible. This is a Rachel Dratch
