Your tolerance for Spymate is going to be directly related to your tolerance for animal tricks.
It's a half-baked movie that looks strangely dated (it was actually made in 2003), underfinanced and simplistic next to films with the same theme, like the Spy Kids series.
Another chimp film from the director of MVP: Most Valuable Primate, and an enterprise so inept that it harkens back to the bad-old-days of dentist-film-producers looking for tax writeoffs.
