Total Recall: Al Pacino's Best Movies

Summary

It may not be getting much critical love at the moment, but this weekend's Stand Up Guys has at least one thing going for it: An expertly seasoned cast that includes Alan Arkin, Christopher Walken, and Al Pacino. They've all made plenty of great films -- in fact, you can check out our countdown of Walken's best movies right here -- but seeing those names together made us realize that we've never dedicated a list to the mighty Pacino filmography, and we knew we had to take this chance to repent. Join us, if you will, for a stroll through a world where one of the greatest actors of his generation always lived up to his greatest potential, and movies like 88 Minutes and Jack and Jill never happened. It's time for Total Recall! Back to Article

It's all about Godfather 1 and 2. Two of my top 20 films of all time; Part 1 is in my top 5. Pacino is terrific in both, and I'm not sure I understand why his part 1 performance was concidered a supporting role.

Is it a myth that Pacino and De Niro filmed their only scene together separately? They're never in the same shot together but I've always wondered if that was just an urban legend...

I like where all of you went with this. Great choices! Love De Niro in Angel Heart. No one eats an egg more sinister.

Think Al lately has started to substitute emotion for volume, although very recently he and DeNiro have shown that they can still turn it on occasionally.

It's funny that you should say that since both Pacino and DeNiro are supposed to star in another movie together called "The Irishman" and as of right now Scorsese is still trying to get some funding!

Scarface should at least be in the top 5.

Personally, (and I think most would agree that) The Godfather 2 should be first on this list, and then The Godfather. Also, Scarecrow could be somewhere on there, for diversity's sake. That aside, I'm interested in knowing where Sea of Love stands in the general opinion.
