New Star Trek XI Set Photos Online
Starfleet security no match for ingenuity and a telephoto lens.

California State University Northridge is, apparently, the final frontier.

That's the good word from Ain't It Cool News, anyway, where they're running spy photos taken at the CSU Northridge campus of what appears to be extras in preparation for scenes from Star Trek XI.

The shots were technically taken of a film titled Corporate Headquarters, but as you'll soon see, they've got Starfleet written all over them -- nice try, J.J. Abrams! -- and even though there aren't any super-exciting pictures, they will give you an idea of what to expect from the newest crop of Academy grads, at least in terms of what they're wearing. (There's also a nifty shot of what looks like a car shaped like a feminine razor.)

To see the gallery (at least until it's lawyered off the Web), click on the link below!

Why don't they ever just post the photos? Why do I have to click the damn link. And sometimes the link doesn't work. Just post the photos RT. I've been wanting to get that off my chest for many years.

I don't know if that car is actually a movie prop or not. It looks just like the newly hyped eco-car that goes 300 miles to the gallon.

I think it's for people who don't want to see spoiler material- they can read about how someone got the shots, but not actually see them.

At least I think that's why they do it.

plus like the end of the article says, "view the pics until they are lawyerd off the internet" or something, RT probably doesnt want to deal with any of that, so they leave it up to the link. When the pics dont come up, it is probably because they have been taken down due to the copyright crap.

"even though there aren't any super-exciting pictures". - Hit the nail on the head with that one.

Reminicent of the disapointing Dark Knight pics from the location shoot in Chicago. Cool looking car though.

As a Star Trek enthusiast, I obviously can't have an opinion until I see the movie, but as a leg enthusiast, it already gets a big thumbs up.

Nice try Rotten Tomatoes but we all know that's really Suri Cruise's scientology themed 1st birthday party!!! Stop blaming JJ Abrams for your mistakes.

A whole lot of red shirts...a whole lot of soon-to-be dead cadets on campus, I guess.

They made a 23rd Century car...out of a DeLorean?

:-P

I still can't get over the fact that there's a regular manual bike parked next to the far more advanced spaceship cruiser thing...Did the production guy miss that or what? Even back to the future had hovering skateboards...but they still have friggin pedal bikes

Yeah... that car is not Star Trek related... it's an Aptera, who must love the fact that their debut model is being mistaken for a Star trek prop.

See? Same car.

The world musn't know! If this fell into to the wrong hands the world as we know it could...I don't want to say.

you obviously don't live in the Los Angeles area where we have a drought. I'm sure they'll CG some nice grass.

That's....a lot of extras. I am suprised they didn't go for the CGI fill in. This is going to give it a lot more authentic feel to it I bet. I agree with thereign. That's a lot of soon to be dead red shirts.
