The first JJ Abrams "Star Trek" was atrocious, regardless of what the critics said. They never took into account the terrible chemistry between these young actors trying to do bad impersonations of the great, original actors' performances of those roles. They also never took into account the absurd plot holes and obvious plot devices so that every little thing would fall conveniently into place.
Now, what does JJ do? He brings back Khan, the best Star Trek villain ever, from the best Star Trek movie ever made. This Cumberbatch punk will never stand up to Montalban's portrayal, just as Pine will never be Shatner or Quinto will never be Nimoy.
This is purely visual fluff for the modern day retarded young audiences.
