I took a tally of the first thirty threads to come up based on recent activity and split them into three categories: positive discussions, negative discussions, discussions asking opinion without negative or positive connotations/mixed/ambiguous. My results were thirteen negative, twelve in between and five positive. My opinion is that the in between threads are the most necessary ones to have separate from each other. But honestly you could very, very easily combine all of those negative ones into one whinefest. You could also combine all the positive ones if you really wanted, but why would you want to?
Reviews are the place to express those opinions so that the score will accurately represent the opinions of everyone, obviously. There are pulllleenty of forums to provide a place for you to feel angry and wronged, argue about whether or not this movie has brought shame to the fandom. This really shouldn't be the place to complain about a movie that you can just go ahead and not care about. There are a lot of movies I hate, so I haven't watched them again and they aren't hurting me. I advise you do the same if you feel wronged enough to expend energy on complaining about it. I'm a fan of Star Trek and various other fandoms but if they made a Doctor Who movie that I hated I wouldn't watch it again or spend time sulking about it. Think about how much time you could be spending watching whatever stuff you do like as opposed to creating a ton of threads bashing a movie that took two hours (and nine minutes if you care) to see. Two hours isn't a lot but you still don't need to spend more time on it. Bit of a rant, sorry. Looking forward to seeing what kind of whining I get about this. Please be original.
