Can we get a release date now?
Sep 14 - 01:35 PM
If it's filming in winter, Nov or December - recall Dec. '12 is the Hobbit's target date, I'd bet maybe November.

The first one was pushed back from its winter release to the summer, so I think it might not be til 2013 when we see this.

HA! . . . I like how he signed The Deal;
In the Back to the Future Trilogy, Robert Zemickis was already "pre-signed" to do Part II and Part III and got GYPPED-OUT of a ton of money
. . . when Zemekis tried to quit, he alludes to the fact that the studio head threatened to take his life . . .
at least according to the DVD-extras.

i really hope this makes it out by next winter, although the first felt like a perfect summer film, I'm not sure I can wait for 2 years. Obviously I have to, but still

I thought JJ has said all along that he would make his decision to direct based on the script. But the report states there is no script. Is the report wrong or have things changed? I hope they are taking their time because they don't want to rush things and get it just right. I sincerely hope so. I'd hate to think that the sluggish pace of this film's development is the result of JJ or the writers not being inspired creatively. How could you not be inspired by all the possibilities the first movie created?

im betting the studio will push for a summer release of 2013 rather than winter release.
Also DJ Abrams is extremely busy and has lots of projects. I always think its better when creative minds behind movies go off and do other things and come back to a familiar project otherwise things tend to get stale
