Comic-Con 2006: "Star Wars" TV Series; "Indiana Jones 4" Script; "Wonder Woman" Casting Info

Day 2 at Comic-Con is as hectic as Day 1. From the moment we arrived on the premise, it's usually a rush to get to one panel after another. Here are a couple of highlights from the "Star Wars" panel and my one-on-one talk with producer Joel Silver.

Star Wars
Steve Sansweet, head of fan relationship for Lucas Films, is on hand to reveal plans for 30th anniversary of Star Wars. There will be a Star Wars presence at the Rose Bowl (two floats!) and a special convention in LA during Memorial Weekend. He also revealed two new TV series. The live action series is planned for sometimes "this decade" and will take place between the Episode III and Episode IV while the CGI animated series is planned for 2008 and will take place late in the Clone Wars. He also mentions that there are no plans to release the "Star Wars" movies on the new hi-def formats like Bluray or HD-DVD unless there is a market for them.

Indiana Jones 4
On the "Indiana Jones 4" front, Sansweet reveals that David Koepp has been through a couple of drafts and if everything looks good, then pre-production will begin sometimes late this year or early next.

Wonder Woman
Joel Silver reveals that "Wonder Woman" will be an origin story and won't be campy like the TV series starring Linda Carter. The character will be in her late teens and a young, mostly unknown actress will be cast in the role.
